M60A3 Patton Walk around - Pittsburg California
In Pittsburg California, sits a M60A3 Patton tank 'Ol' Sue' as a Veterans Memorial.
Approaching the tank. Two right side (facing forward in the tank) turret shots. Then working around the front. Note the British-style smoke dispensers on the turret.
Continuing the front shots and the barrel. Tried to get a shot of the rifling. Had to really bring up the brightness to show it which is why the picture looks a little washed out.
The left side and getting close up suspension and track shots. As you can see, this was a well used vehicle!
Continuing close up suspension shots and left side and rear of turret .
Rear shots. Like you couldn't tell :-). Lots of cobwebs on the vehicle and rust is starting to show too.
Back to the right side. Notice the turret casting is not super-smooth!
Climbed the slope to try and get overhead shots. Gotta love the flag flying from the antenna. Note the side box stencil: "WARNING AFTER NBC ATTACK AIR CLEANER MUST BE SERVICED BY NBC PROTECTION EQUIPPED PERSONNEL".
